MEET DR. ROBYN HAWLEY
Dr. Robyn Hawley
Dr. Robyn Hawley is a passionate veterinarian dedicated to providing comprehensive care to her patients and their families. Originally from South Bend, Indiana, she graduated from Indiana University South Bend in 2020 with a B.A. in Sustainability Studies. Her journey in veterinary medicine began with hands-on experience at Western Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant prior to pursuing her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.
During her time at Michigan State, Dr. Robyn demonstrated exceptional leadership by serving on the board of the Student Chapter of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association (WAVMA) and the Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). She was selected for the prestigious Equine Summer Fellows Program, spending 12 weeks at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Here, she collaborated with renowned equine surgeons and staff, focusing on surgical care for athletic performance horses.
In 2022, Dr. Robyn embarked on a research journey studying bacterial diseases in honey bees. Her pilot study, which she presented nationally with the Honey Bee Veterinary Consortium, has since expanded and continues to yield valuable insights into bee health.
Dr. Robyn furthered her expertise by completing certification in small and large animal veterinary acupuncture through CuraCore in 2024.
Dr. Robyn's practice interests include alternative therapies, senior pet care, equine medicine, and honey bee health. She is committed to exploring innovative approaches to enhance the well-being of her patients.
Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Robyn embraces outdoor activities like camping, kayaking, and gardening with friends and family. She is eager to apply her skills and knowledge to serve the Michiana community, fostering and strengthening the bond between humans and animals.
